Marianne Bentzen (DK)

Marianne Bentzen graduated as psychomotor therapist in1980, co-founded the Bodynamic Institute in 1985, and was an international faculty member and training director for 13 years.

She left the B.I. in 1997 and has since developed Neuroaffective Psychotherapy trainings and consultation. She currently teaches in Scandinavia and Europe and has led trainings in 16 countries. Her maps of consciousness include psychomotor development, neuroaffective developmental psychology, trauma theory and Buddhist and Christian spiritual frameworks as well as an intermediate-level understanding of SCT. Marianne has had a daily meditation practice since 1995, and is a student of the Danish spiritual teacher Jes Bertelsen, who teaches core methods from the Tibetan Dzogchen tradition in forms adapted to the Western psyche. Marianne has presented at 25 international conferences, 13 times as keynote speaker and a few times as a panel member. She has also presented workshops at nearly all the conferences she has attended, and has presented as the main speaker at numerous European national conferences and congresses as well as international training forums.

Prof. Stephen Porges (USA)

Dr. Stephen W. Porges Ph.D. is Distinguished University Scientist at Indiana University, where he directs the Trauma Research Center within the Kinsey Institute.

He holds the position of Professor of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina and Professor Emeritus at the University of Illinois at Chicago where he directed the Brain-Body Center. Dr. Porges is also Professor Emeritus at the University of Maryland where served as Chair of the Department of Human Development and Director of the Institute for Child Study. He is a former president of the Society for Psychophysiological Research and also of the Federation of Behavioral, Psychological, and Cognitive Sciences. He is a former recipient of a National Institute of Mental Health Research Scientist Development Award. He has published more than 250 peer‐reviewed scientific papers across several disciplines including anesthesiology, critical care medicine, ergonomics, exercise physiology, gerontology, neurology, obstetrics, pediatrics, psychiatry, psychology, space medicine, and substance abuse. In 1994 he proposed the Polyvagal Theory, a theory that links the evolution of the vertebrate autonomic nervous system to the emergence of social behavior. The theory provides insights into the mechanisms mediating symptoms observed in several behavioral, psychiatric, and physical disorders. The theory has stimulated research and treatments that emphasize the importance of physiological state and behavioral regulation in the expression of several psychiatric disorders and provides a theoretical perspective to study and to treat stress and trauma. He is the author of The Polyvagal Theory: Neurophysiological foundations of Emotions, Attachment, Communication, and Self-regulation (Norton, 2011), The Pocket Guide to the Polyvagal Theory: The transformative power of feeling safe, (Norton, 2017), and co-editor of Clinical Applications of the Polyvagal Theory: The emergence of Polyvagal-informed therapies (Norton, 2018).

Peter A. Levine, Ph.D. (USA)

Peter A. Levine, Ph.D. (USA) is the originator and developer of Somatic Experiencing® and the President of the Foundation for Human Enrichment. He holds doctorate degrees in both Medical Biophysics and Psychology. During his forty plus year study of stress and trauma, Dr. Levine has contributed to a variety of scientific, medical, and popular publications.

His best selling book, Waking the Tiger; Healing Trauma, is available in 24 languages. He is author of "It Won't Hurt Forever", a guide to the prevention and healing of trauma with children. Together with Maggie Kline he published: "Trauma-Proofing your Kids", a parents' guide to instilling confidence, joy and resillience. The culmination of his life's work you find in "In An Unspoken Language", where he explains the nature and transformation of trauma in the body, brain and psyche. His newest book "Trauma and Memory" has just been released. There Peter Levine tackles the most difficult and controversial question whether we can trust our memories or not. Peter was a consultant for NASA during the development of the Space Shuttle, and has taught at hospitals and pain clinics in both Europe and the U.S., as well as at the Hopi Guidance Center in Arizona.

Paki E. Heisserer (CH)

Paki E. Heisserer ist in Deutschland geboren und seit 1980 Stadtzürcherin. Sie arbeitet seit 1985 in eigener Praxis als Körperpsychotherapeutin mit Polarity, als Traumatherapeutin mit Somatic Experiencing (SE) (auch als Ausbildnerin) und als Qi Gong, Tai Qi und Tao Yoga Lehrerin seit 35 Jahren.
Aus- und Weiterbildungen in Traumatherapie nach Dr. Peter A. Levine, Polarity, Cranio Sacral Therapie, Posturaler Integration, Shiatsu, Chinesischer Medizin, Prozessorientierter Psychologie nach Arny Mindell und Geburtstraumenbegleitung nach Dr. Ray Castellino.

Ihr Anliegen ist es, den menschlichen Prozess auf allen Ebenen zu begleiten. Sie sieht prozessorientierte Körper-Geist und Emotionsarbeit in Anlehnung an den englischen Begriff „Healing Arts“ als eine Form von Heilung bringender Kunst an. Sie arbeitet mit Erwachsenen, Jugendlichen, Babys, Schwangeren und Paaren. Sie lebt mit ihrem Mann Urs Honauer in Zürich. Sie haben zwei erwachsene Töchter.

Host: Urs Honauer, Ph.D. (CH)

Dr. Urs Honauer ist Leiter des Zentrums für Innere Ökologie und des Polarity Bildungszentrums in Zürich sowie Initiator des Bildungsfestivals in Weggis. Er ist seit vielen Jahren in der Erwachsenenbildung tätig und unterrichtet dabei u.a. SOMATIC EXPERIENCING (SE), Polarity und authentischer Kommunikation (AK).

In seiner Praxis für Innere Ökologie in Zürich arbeitet er mit Menschen jeden Alters (vom Baby bis zum Senior). Er ist der Entdecker des Kommunikationsmodells „authentischer Kommunikation (AK)“. Studienabschluss in Pädagogischer Psychologie, Sonderpädagogik und Publizistik; Promotion im Bereich Sozialpädagogik an der Universität Zürich; Masters in Psychotraumatologie an der Psychiatrischen Polyklinik der Universität Zürich. Studien in Polarity Therapie und
Craniosacralem Balancing bei Dr. John Beaulieu in New York sowie Geburtstraumenarbeit bei Dr. Ray Castellino, Prozessorientierte Psychologie bei Dr. Arnold Mindell, Somatic Experiencing bei Dr. Peter A. Levine.

The Education Festival is one of the many summer festivals that have enriched culture, music and film since the 1970s, but not education!
